Design and Display Features

The OnePlus 8T features the same mirror-split design on its back as the OnePlus 8T, but it’s a lot slimmer (8.4mm) and lighter (188g), even compared to the OnePlus 8T.Weighing 188g, OnePlus 8T feels surprisingly light as compared to flagship devices sporting a similar spec sheet. The screen is a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED unit fresh out of the box with the display set at a 120Hz refresh rate by default. The resolution stands at 2400 x 1080 pixels with 402ppi density.

Battery Features

There’s a 4,500mAh battery in the OnePlus 8T, which on average easily lasted for more than one day starting on a full charge. Our HD washing video loop test also showed promising results, with the phone lasting a little over 22 hours. It takes barely any time to fully charge it too, thanks to the 65W fast Warp Charger. In my tests, the OnePlus 8T battery charged up to 87 percent in half an hour, and took only another 45 minutes or so to reach 100%.

Performance and Hardware Features

OnePlus 8T packs 8GB/12GB RAM with UFS 3.1 128GB/256GB storage variants. Both modules sport an Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) chipset with a 5G Qualcomm modem collab. There’s a standard Type-C support, Dual SIM slot and speaker function in the bottom belly, as usual. The audio module is a Dolby Atmos stereo with noise cancellation.

Cameras Features

Starting from the back – the rear quad camera bump has a 48MP main camera with OIS, EIS and 1.7 aperture. Then there’s the 16MP ultrawide and a 5MP+5MP pairing of macro and depth sensors. The front camera cutout is a 16MP HDR sensor with 1080p@30fps video recording capability.

All things considered, I think OnePlus has done a fairly good job in crafting the 8T. Snapdragon, 5G, refresh rate, 65W Warp Charging; the all new OnePlus 8T is a full package for everyone. The device is a little smaller in size than the previous OnePlus 8 Pro variant, but that won’t matter. It’s a TK. 51,000 smartphone with all qualities of a formidable flagship. The OnePlus 8T’s price territory and make things a lot more interesting.
